An international consumer goods manufacturer is seeking a dynamic:
Territory Sales Representative - GTA
General Summary: Achieves maximum sales growth in either the dealer/retailer market segment or the residential new housing and commercial building category by effectively promoting the company’s products and services.
Core Functions:
- Reports directly to National Sales Director – Hearth Division
- Promotes brand to prospective customers especially those who are not currently using company’s products and services
- Introduce and promote brand in order to establish a business relationship by encouraging principals to view manufacturing facility in Ontario
- Concentrate on the GTA exclusively
Details of Function:
- Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current and prospective customers in the market segment to generate new business
- Makes appointments for in person visits and presentations to prospective customers
- Researches prospective customers to determine potential
- Directs prospective customers to establish business relationships with current approved installing contractors
- Coordinates sales effort with sales management and team, marketing and existing installing contractors
- Ability to analyze the territory market potential
- Identifies competitive advantages and compares company’s products and services
- Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, interests, competitive activities, market trends and potential for new products and services
- Participates in trade shows
Qualifications:
- Must have minimum of 2 - 3 years’ experience outside sales B2B selling ideally to retailers or into the builder channel.
- Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving
- Must be able to work independently and within a team environment
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be in possession of a valid driver’s license
- Must be willing to travel the entire GTA territory.
Compensation:
- Salary plus commissions plus bonus
