Manufacturing Supervisor

 

Our client an international consumer goods manufacturer is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor for their largest facility in northern Kentucky.

Manufacturing Supervisor

Reporting to the Operations Manager, USA, this mandate will be to supervise, facilitate, coach, assist and manage the deployment of direct and indirect production associates, materials, machines and supplies within manufacturing. The incumbent will bring their experience with Lean/Six Sigma problem solving tools and have the ability to develop personnel and processes to support present and future operations. 

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: 

  • Lead problem solving and continuous improvement project utilizing lean tools and methodologies
  • Through the utilization of assigned Team Leaders, complete all daily work load and execute according to schedule and defined procedures
  • Assure assigned area meets/exceeds all metrics and when goals are not met, take immediate corrective action to drive improvement
  • Train/coach Team Leaders so they understand and are capable of executing all assigned duties and provide coaching and counselling ongoing as needed
  • Conduct timely and fair performance appraisals for hourly associates
  • Conduct daily shift handoff meeting to assure continuity of operations
  • Actively participate in facility-wide improvement projects.


Education and Experience: 
• Bachelor’s in Engineering or Production Management preferred
• Must have a minimum of 5 years’ in manufacturing supervision procedures and practices
• Fabrication and Shipping/Receiving experience a plus 
• Very strong computer skills; MS Office, Knowledge of MRP, Visual Manufacturing, WMS and Crystal Reports software is an asset
