Ideally based in the Greater Los Angeles or the San Francisco Bay Area and reporting to the Western Regional Sales Manager, the Account Executive will cover the states of California and Nevada. 

 

Job Purpose:
Responsible for executing sales strategies within the “Residential New Construction” channel, emphasis on revenue and market share growth.  Primary focus will be on new business development with installing dealers, new home builders in both the single family and multifamily segments.


Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
•Responsible for executing corporate strategies within the assigned channel including profitable market penetration, value added supply chain management and people development.
•Achieve customer market share, collectable sales and profitability objectives.
•Implement customer differentiation strategies including product, lead times, customer service, commercial policies, and consultative selling.
•Implement a customer communication and feedback process.
•Grow relationships with key national and regional decision makers and influencers.
•Facilitate relationships between customers’ local and regional management and company sales management.
•Additional duties and responsibilities as requested by the Western Regional Sales Manager


Education and Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent work experience.
•Minimum of five (5) years of experience in sales, preferably selling Hearth Products or equivalent building materials. 
•Intermediate to advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, plus SalesForce CRM is preferred

 

Additional Skills:
•Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of new construction, and account planning
•Success in selling to large, key accounts customers
•Management of both minor and major projects within a set deadline
•Ability to effectively solve problems and implement proactive solutions
•Knowledge of construction and building concepts along with product usage
•Ability to travel up to 75% of the time. Extensive territory travel and occasional weekend work, valid passport required
