Regional Sales Manager

Our client an international manufacturer of consumer/durable goods immediately requires an experienced sales individual whose primary function is to manage and support Regional Merchandise Managers in the territory to achieve sales and profit goals. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the execution of all retail sales activities and the measurement of the sales goals and objectives in addition to providing leadership and direction towards these goals.

Reporting to the National Accounts Manager, the qualified candidate is ideally located in either Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Connecticut, Maryland or New York state to cover the northeastern USA and is open to 50% travel covering this US and some Canadian territory. A superlative communicator and team player, the RSM for our Vendor client must be able to interact with all levels of retail and be able to develop and maintain strong customer relationships that provide measurable value.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • University Degree or College Diploma level education is required
  • Sales experience in Big Box DIY accounts
  • Ideally 5+ years’ Home Center National Retailer sales experience – either on Retail or Vendor side
  • Sales Management experience and/or coaching, supporting and leading an outside sales team
  • Worked with a Rep Service Group in the past
  • Demonstrable experience in developing client-focused, individualized sales solutions, including measurable business plans
  • P & L accountability and a deep understanding of sales data
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite and must be comfortable with productivity sales CRM tools such as Salesforce
  • Able to build and foster long-lasting customer relationships
  • A strong presenter and steward for the company
  • Measurable and proven track record of sales growth

Please note that applicants that have worked with national home center retailers such as: Lowe’s or Home Depot either on the Retail or Vendor side are preferred.
